RHEL bonding: iperf3 only uses 1 slave in dual LACP bond
Issue
-
When I run throughput test by iperf. why using parameter of -B the throughput will better than without -B in RHEL 7.2.
Iperf version:2.0.9
Build 2G linux bond lacp mode.
Ex: bondX=2G (1Gx2) -
RHEL 7.2 :
- Server: iperf –s –i 1
- Client: iperf –c (bondX_ip) –w 2m –l 64k –i 1 –P 8 –t 60
- Result: 1.8Gbit/s
-
RHEL 7.3 :
- Server: iperf –s –i 1
- Client: iperf –c (bondX_ip) –w 2m –l 64k –i 1 –P 8 –t 60
- Result: 950Mbit/s
-
Use parameter of -B in RHEL 7.3 :
- Server: iperf –s –i 1
- Client: iperf –c (bondX_ip) –B (local_ip) –w 2m –l 64k –i 1 –P 8 –t 60
- Result: throughput can reach to 1.8Gbit/s
Environment
- RHEL7
- LACP bond
- layer3+4 policy
- iperf3
