GNU screen miscalculates the screen size when the "sessionname" command is used within a gnu screen script.

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • screen command does not return the correct geometry (columns and lines) of the current window when it is launched with a configuration file setting the "sessionname". However using the "-S" parameter on the command line works correctly.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7
  • screen-4.1.0 and above
