What are the MPT Fusion driver update versions available?

Issue

• While installing Dell openmanage on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 server getting the following warning:

3.04.13rh (mptlinux) is older than the required driver version 3.12.29.00 (mptlinux) for a controller
of model 0x1F08:  Controller 0 (SAS 5/iR Integrated) 

• The mpt driver version that ships with the stock RHEL5.5 kernel is indeed 3.04.13rh:

• When is Red Hat planning to upgrade the mpt driver to a newer version?

• Does Red Hat recommend using the driver provided by Dell or the version that ships with the stock RHEL5 kernels?

• Are there any issues running the mpt driver that comes with the stock kernel with a Dell SAS 5/iR RAID controller?
