Kernel panic with "multipath library" errors, after security update on SAN bootable server.
Issue

Kernel panics with multipath library errors as "*** glibc detected *** multipathd: free (): invalid pointer : 0x0000xxxxx ***"
Error screen shot shown as below :

Dropping at debug shell while using "rdbreak rdhell" option at kernel command line shows dracut warning similar to the
following, indicating that the root VG and LV are not found :

Issue happening after kernel upgrade with security updates only.

System was able to boot with old kernel, but generating abrt logs for process "multipath". multipath getting killed by signal 6(SIGABRT).

"multipath -ll" command fails even with old kernel. Throws multipath package library errors as below :
