Inaccurate TCP_USER_TIMEOUT times out later that specified
Issue
- The timeout of a nfs tcp session will be 180 seconds. From a pcap the timeout is 4min6seconds(15:34:12 - 15:30:46), which is longer than 180 seconds.
setsockopt() TCP_USER_TIMEOUTis not accurate.- This affects NFS and any TCP application that calls
setsockopt() TCP_USER_TIMEOUT.
