Unable to mount nfs share over reboot while using fqdn in /etc/fstab.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When NFS server fqdn is used in /etc/fstab, nfs client is unable to mount nfs share. Same thing just works fine if fqdn is replaced by NFS server ip address.
  • After reboot, mount -a works as expected.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • systemd
