Unable to NFS mount filesystem

Issue

  • There are 2 KVM systems on the same network - 1 is able to NFS mount a file system, the other is not.
  • The 2 vm's should be identical, except for IP, since they were cloned from the same system.
  • The error seen is:
mount: mount to NFS server 'nfs.server' failed: System Error: Connection timed out.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6
