RHV: Virtual Machines fail to start and migrate with "Failed to lock byte 100"

Issue

  • After upgrade to RHEL 7.5 Hosts/Hypervisors, no Virtual Machines can be started or migrated to the new hosts.

Environment

  • Red Hat Virtualization 4.1, 4.2
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 and higher
    • kernel-3.10.0-862
    • qemu-kvm-rhev-2.10
  • NFS Storage Domain
    • NFSv4 hosted on Windows 2012 R2 Server
