"Fatal error: glibc detected an invalid stdio handle" when running applications on RHEL 7.5

Issue

  • Running a custom application ends up with a glibc Fatal error.
$ testapp
Fatal error: glibc detected an invalid stdio handle
$
  • While logging in to the system, our custom script fails and we are getting below error.
