Cannot activate a volume group after cluster failover on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
Issue
- Cluster suddenly goes down.
- vgdisplay on my cluster nodes reports "
Couldn't find device" and the volume group cannot be activated.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (with the High Availability Add on)
- HA-LVM is used to manage shared storage between nodes
- A shared volume group has multiple PV's
- Some of the PV's are visible to one node but not to the other one
- A shared volume group has multiple PV's
