Running OpenShift 3.9 master upgrade playbook fails at docker registry step

Issue

  • While running the OpenShift 3.9 Master upgrade ansible playbook, it fails at docker registry step even though we have openshift_hosted_manage_registry=false set in our inventory file.

    Failure summary:
Hosts:    master-host-0.example.com
Play:     Update registry certificates
Task:     Redeploy docker registry
Message:  non-zero return code

  • OpenShift Container Platform 3.9
