Database pod corruption after draining nodes of their pods in OpenShift
Issue
- logs displayed that the database was not able to come up on the new nodes
- How should we safely drain nodes so this doesn't happen again?
- Whats the best practice for running databases in OpenShift?
Environment
- OpenShift Container Platform 3.4.0
- drained/evacuated old nodes of any pods
- drain OCP nodes that have any database pods running on them
