"id" command no longer prints group names after upgrade from RHEL7.4 to RHEL7.5

Issue

Running id command on a RHEL7.5 machine, returns only numeric gids, not groupnames.

# id test
uid=20488(test) gid=20488 groups=20488,5339,5563,5582,5640,1070,5434,6041,5308,5845

Expected Result:

# id test

uid=20488(test) gid=20488(test) groups=20488(test),3(sys),100(users),211(group1),5434(group2),5845(group3),82644(group4),82645(group5),82610(group6),5563(group7),5640(group8),82609(group9)

Environment

  • Rhel 7.5
  • sssd-1.16.0-19.el7.x86_64
