openssl uses different hash algorithm in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Issue

The default hash algorithm in RHEL6 has changed from that of previous RHEL releases.

RHEL5 and earlier use MD5 as the hash algorithm.

With the release of RHEL6 the default algorithm is SHA1.
