Why Broadcom 57402S 10G adapter is not getting available/visible to RHEL OS even though it is attached at hardware level ?

Issue

  • The respective NIC- Broadcom 57402S 10G is attached to server but its not seen either in lspci OR in dmidecode commands output.
  • Why NIC is not visible to RHEL OS OR Why does OS does not see it ?
  • What needs to done such that NIC can be used / accessed at OS level ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8
  • Broadcom 57402S 10G NIC
  • Dell Server R930
