Internet Explorer does not properly handle javascript over AJP after upgrading to EAP 7

Issue

• We recently upgraded our application to EAP 7 and javascript is not properly handled by Internet Explorer. We see the same response in all browsers, but only Internet Explorer breaks, claiming javascript functions are not found.
• Internet Explorer also worked fine when our app was running on EAP 6 or earlier
