KDump kernel fails to boot after CPU hot add/remove operation

Issue

  • After a CPU hot add/remove operation. The KDump kernel needs to be reloaded to ensure the latest device-tree is passed to it.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL) 7
  • PPC64
