Please note that glibc-static was provided in RHEL6 Alpha ISO.

Questions

Why is glibc-static is not provided in the RHEL6 Beta1 ISO? There is a comment as "It's in the optional repository" in Bug586569.
Is glibc-static to be provided from ftp.redhat.com throughout the whole RHEL6 life cycle?
