sssd Will Not Start Without a Blank Line at the End of /etc/sssd/sssd.conf in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Issue

  • if there is no blank line at the end of /etc/sssd/sssd.conf, sssd wont start returning an error in /var/log/messages that reads "sssd: Cannot load configuration database".

  • sssd-1.8.0-32.el6.x86_64
