mysql Pacemaker resource fails to start with "please check your installation" error

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • mysql resource failing to start on pcs cluster
  • After fencing, mysql resource fails to start.
  • ERROR: MySQL server failed to start (pid=16644) (rc=0), please check your installation

  • mysqld.log shows failure to open log file.
