The hostname is incorrectly set when using ip=... kernel command line parameter

Issue

  • Kickstarting a RHEL7.4 host with only a IPv6 address and specifying the ip address information using the "ip=..." kernel parameter, the hostname is not set correctly
  • In stead of the name specified the hostname is set to the 5th element of the IPv6 address

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.4
  • dracut-033-502.el7.x86_64
