Issue

  • pkcsslotd.service not shutting down normally on RHEL 7
  • The following messages are seen in the log at shutdown or when stopping the pcsslotd.service unit

    systemd: pkcsslotd.service stop-sigterm timed out. Killing.
    systemd: pkcsslotd.service: main process exited, code=killed, status=9/KILL
    systemd: Stopped Daemon which manages cryptographic hardware tokens for the openCryptoki package.
    systemd: Unit pkcsslotd.service entered failed state.
    systemd: pkcsslotd.service failed.
    

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • openCryptoki
  • Communication Server for Data Center Deployment (3rd Party software from IBM)
