A stonith device fails to start/monitor with '-62 (Timer expired)' error when there is more than 64KB of output
Issue
- A stonith device that outputs more than 64KB of data fails its start or monitor operation.
- When
verbose=1
is configured forfence_cisco_ucs
, it sometimes causes the monitor or start operation to timeout with the message below:
Operation 'monitor' [xxx] for device 'test' returned: -62 (Timer expired)

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or 8 (with the High Availability Add-on)
