When the psacct service log continues to rotate, log is no longer collected. This issue occurs in RHEL7.4, and it does not occur in RHEL7.3.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.4 and later
    • This issue is seen on kernel-3.10.0-693.el7 (released with RHEL7.4GA) and later
  • psacct/PSaccounting
  • logrotate
