Filesystem become read-only, why can't I find any error messages in /var/log/messages file for investigation?
Issue
- Some filesystems appears to be becoming read-only on my system. Why can't I find any errors logged in /var/log/messages file for investigation?
- VM guest RHEL 5 running on ESX 4.0 has its root filesystem turn read-only, no errors are logged. How can I find the cause of read-only filesystem?

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
