Why system does not stop at single user mode( Runlevel 1) ?
Issue
- Why the runlevel immediately progressed to runlevel 3 after having dropped to runlevel 1 ?
- Why system does not stop at single user mode ( Runlevel 1) even after setting kernel parameter "single" at the end of kernel line in grub.conf file or when we specify it interactively from the grub menu ?
Eg:
default=0
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
