JBoss ON behavior in regards to availability alerts on both parent and child resources

Issue

if we configure alerts for individual applications availability, as well as alerts for the whole JBossAS or even the agent itself being down, would alerts for individual applications be sent along with the lower level alerts?
if the whole app server is unavailable, are alerts sent on individual applications as well?
How does JON address alerts on both parent and child when the parent goes down?
Agent down triggers all targets down alert on this agent
