fence_cisco_ucs reports 'Operation timed out after 3000 milliseconds with xxxx out of -1 bytes received')

Issue

  • The following messages are observed in the logs and fence_cisco_ucs monitor/start operations are reported in 'Failed actions' of the pcs status output

    nodeXX stonith-ng:  warning: log_action:    fence_cisco_ucs[xxxx] stderr: [ (28, 'Operation timed out after 3000 milliseconds with 0 out of -1 bytes received') ]
nodeXX stonith-ng:  warning: log_operation: fence_cisco_ucs:xxxx [ (28, 'Operation timed out after 3000 milliseconds with 8192 out of -1 bytes received') ]

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 with High-Availability or Resilient Storage Add-on
  • pacemaker cluster using fence_cisco_ucs as stonith device
