Replication issues after backup and restore of IPA Master.

Issue

• Following issues were experienced after backup and restore of IPA Master.

  • Issue 1: The remote replica has a different database generation ID than the local database

    [root@ipa-mastera01 ~]$ sudo tail /var/log/dirsrv/slapd-EXAMPLE-COM/errors
    [26/Jan/2018:10:41:01.287624506 +1300] - WARN - NSMMReplicationPlugin - repl5_inc_run - agmt="cn=ipa-master01.example.com-to-ipa- replica05.example.com" (ipa-replica05:389): The remote replica has a different database generation ID than the local database.  You may have to reinitialize the remote replica, or the local replica.
    
    [26/Jan/2018:10:41:01.301151463 +1300] - WARN - NSMMReplicationPlugin - repl5_inc_run - agmt="cn=ipa-master01.example.com-to-ipa-replica04.example.com" (ipa-replica04:389): The remote replica has a different database generation ID than the local database.  You may have to reinitialize the remote replica, or the local replica.
    

  • Issue 2: Can't locate CSN $CSN_NUMBER in the changelog (DB rc=-30988). If replication stops, the consumer may need to be reinitialized.

    After cleaning RUVs,  one of the replica  was showing this  message.

If replication stops, the consumer may need to be reinitialized.
