Is an application using libtirpc susceptible to issues related to kernel panics in NFS RPC code in the kernel?

Issue

Product is not using NFS, but inhouse application is using RPC services by way of libtirpc-0.2.1-5.el6.i686 (libtirpc.so.1) package.
Not yet experienced crashes or symptoms and they do thorough product testing, but needs confirmation if either of the below issues will affect them:
1. RHEL 6.3: kernel panic at 'put_rpccred+0x13a/0x150 [sunrpc]' from nfs_access_free_entry
2. RHEL6: kernel crash in NFS code, RIP put_rpccred called from nfs_access_free_entry and nfs_access_cache_shrinker
Cannot upgrade their 6.2 kernel at this time - embedded product in the field, will update on next release cycle.
