kernel-2.6.32-358.0.1 doesn't boot on Citrix Xen server virtual machine.

Issue

  • After upgrading system from RHEL6.3 to RHEL6.4 on XEN Citrix virtual machine, system is not able to boot.
  • System ends up with a blinking cursor just after the bootloader (grub) stage.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
  • Citrix Xen Server 5.6
  • kernel-2.6.32-358.0.1
