nmcli command fails with SELinux denial message

Issue

  • We are facing the following error after upgrade to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 using yum update.
  • Even with RHEL 7.4 fresh installation the same error persists.
# nmcli conn show
Error: Could not create NMClient object: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: An SELinux policy prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, 0 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.65" (uid=0 pid=10620 comm="nmcli conn show ") interface="org.freedesktop.DBus.ObjectManager" member="GetManagedObjects" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.47" (uid=0 pid=20953 comm="/usr/sbin/NetworkManager --no-daemon ").

  • dbus-1.6.12-17.el7.x86_64
