Issue

  • After downgrading pacemaker packages the pacemaker service would no longer start.
  • The pacemaker cluster is not starting and the following errors are printed:

    May 14 17:09:20 node42 cib[44274]:   error: Discarding update with feature set '3.0.14' greater than our own '3.0.12'
    May 14 17:09:20 node42 cib[44274]: warning: Completed cib_modify operation for section nodes: Protocol not supported (rc=-93, origin=overcloud-controller-1/crmd/6, version=0.324.0)
    May 14 17:09:20 node42 crmd[44489]:   error: Shutting down because the current configuration is not supported by this version

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6, 7 (with the High Availability Add On)
  • pacemaker
