NFSv3 hangs when using NFS share with database application
Issue
- When mounting and using an NFSv3 share for database functions the NFS share applications utilizing the share will hang periodically.
- The following types of messages are present in
/var/log/messages:
Nov 2 12:30:54 nfsserver kernel: lockd: server nfsserver not responding, still trying
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- NFSv3 server sharing database
