RHV : VM failed to start after twice moving VM disk to another Storage Domain

Issue

  • VM fails to start and reports error as follows
 Failed to run VM redhat-guestvm-1  
 Failed to run VM redhat-guestvm-1 on Host xxxxxxxxxx
 VM redhat-guestvm-1 is down with error. Exit message: Unable to get volume size for domain af113ed4-2e45-4ec2-a598-31c1862563c2 volume 47d59cbe-e005-43d5-9f7a-63f7c8820cd1.
  • A disk move for this VM has been attempted, and had not appeared to complete in the RHV Admin Portal. A second attempt was performed which failed. After that, the VM failed to start.

  • Red Hat Virtualization 4.1
  • FC Block Storage
  • Disk move operation for a VM disk
