sheepdog-0.2.3-2.el6.x86_64

Following the instructions here:

/usr/share/doc/sheepdog-0.2.3/README

Create a virtual machine image:
- Create a 256 GB virtual machine image of Test.

$ qemu-img create sheepdog:Test 256G

Following message is observed:

# qemu-img create sheepdog:Test 256G
Unknown protocol 'sheepdog:Test'

sheepdog is found in EPEL but qemu is found in the RHEL channels.
Doesqemu as shipped by Red Hat supports the sheepdog protocol?
