How to Separate runtime and static configuration files stored in /var/lib/glusterd ?

Issue

  • The directory /var/lib/glusterd/ on GlusterFS nodes contain both runtime data and static files.
  • The runtime data is generated by Glusterd (peer and volume files), while the static files are distributed with the Glusterd rpm packages (/var/lib/glusterd/hooks/, /var/lib/glusterd/groups/ etc.)
