"mlx4_core failed to bond device -524" is output when using mlx4 bonding interface in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Issue

  • When configure a mlx4 bonding interface then restart the network service or ifup the bonding interface, error message "mlx4_core failed to bond device -524" is output on /var/log/messages file, but it does not appear to affect the functionality of the interfaces.
