HP Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) hp-health fails to start on RHEL 6.4
Issue
- HP hp-health init script is not working because of ipmi_si.ko being built into the RHEL 6.4 kernel
- With the existing hp-health tools provides by HP, /etc/init.d/hp-health fails to start cleanly
- Error snip:
IPMI based System Health Monitor
FATAL: Module ipmi_si not found.
ERROR: There is NO IPMI support available on this system!
Please install the hp-OpenIPMI package or enable IPMI support
for this distribution. Aborting hp-health initialization process!
ASR disabled, not starting daemon.
