Patching of JBoss EAP 7 fails with "No such file or directory" error

Issue

  • While installing JBoss, docs installation unchecked, and the directory $JBOSS_HOME/docs does not exist from beginning and during patching, it failes with below error
  • Below is the error while applying patch :
[disconnected /] patch apply /home/jboss-eap-7.0.8-patch.zip
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/jboss-eap-7.0/docs/licenses/the werken company license - license.html (No such file or directory)

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
    • 7.0
