Issue

• After updating firefox and xulrunner to 17.0.3 version Enterprise Security Client (esc) not working on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Initially for the error

$ esc
Error: /usr/lib64/xulrunner-17.0.3/xulrunner not found
       /usr/lib/xulrunner-17.0.3/xulrunner not found

Create a link as

# ln -s /usr/lib64/xulrunner /usr/lib64/xulrunner-17.0.3 

per the article The xulrunner script in RHEL6.4 is broken

package versions being used are

$ rpm -q xulrunner esc
xulrunner-17.0.3-1.el6_3.x86_64
xulrunner-17.0.3-1.el6_3.i686
esc-1.1.0-24.el6_2.2.x86_64

After creating the link, esc started giving errors as below

$ esc
Error: Platform version '17.0.3' is not compatible with
minVersion >= 10.0.0
maxVersion <= 10.9.9
