While attempting to kickstart a RHEL 7.3 virtual machine or physical server for a fresh installation, the following error occurs:

Ensure the virtual machine or physical server has been assigned at least 2 GB of memory.

Root Cause

The failure occurred on a virtual machine that had 1 GB of memory. The same kickstart configuration file may have worked for RHEL 7.2 and below, but is now failing while attempting to install RHEL 7.3.

Diagnostic Steps

Check the virtual machine or server's memory size. Kickstart installations of RHEL 7.3 require at least 2 GB of memory assigned to the machine.
