Merging root snapshot causes subsequent boot failure
Issue
- When a snapshot of the root volume is merged with it's origin, the system must be rebooted for the merging to take place. At the mentioned levels, this boot subsequent to the merging will consistently fail, showing
dracut-initqueue
messages as seen in RHEL 7 prints "dracut-initqueue timeout - starting timeout scripts" messages in loop while booting
[ 198.557262] dracut-initqueue[779]: Warning: dracut-initqueue timeout - starting timeout scripts
[ 198.557679] dracut-initqueue[779]: Warning: Could not boot.
