RHEL7: NFS server doesn't respond to quota -v call from NFS clients.

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • NFS client:
    • Systems hang when running # quota -v while a NFS share from a RHEL 7 server is mounted.
    • The client does not receive any error message.
  • NFS servers:
    • There are outstanding bytes in the receive queue, Recv-Q, for # rpcbind over UDP on port 111.
  • Firewalls are configured to accept all traffic sent/received from the NFS Client to/from the NFS server.
