Why the VMs are not starting when USB support is enabled?
Issue
- Create vm on datacenter. Enable
USB support --> Native mode
. - Create template of same vm.
- Export the template to export domain.
- Import template to another DC.
- Create vm from imported template(thin provisioned). It will start without any issue.
- Shutdown it.
- Again try to start the vm. Here it will fail with following error:
VM <vm name> is down. Exit message: internal error process exited while connecting to monitor: qemu-kvm: -device ich9-usb-ehci1,id=usb,bus=pci.0,addr=0x4.0x7: Duplicate ID 'usb' for device
