java.io.InterruptedIOException Encountered in JBoss EAP running on Solaris using the Sun/Oracle JVM

  • Either of the following error messages are seen in the JBoss log file: 
        ERROR [org.jgroups.protocols.MPING] (Timer-2,10.0.0.1:7900) failed sending discovery request
        java.io.InterruptedIOException: operation interrupted
        ...

        ERROR [org.jgroups.protocols.UDP] (Timer-3,10.1.2.3:12345) failed sending message to null (89 bytes)
        java.lang.Exception: dest=/228.1.2.3:12345 (92 bytes)
        ...
        Caused by: java.io.InterruptedIOException: operation interrupted 
        ...
