Entitlement Errors Encountered After RHEL Downgrade

Issue

  • We are trying to down grade to RHEL 6.2. During the downgrade process we ran into the following entitlement errors:

    The system with UUID xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx has been unregistered
    The system has been registered with id: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
    [root@myserver ~]# yum clean all
    Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, subscription-manager
    Updating certificate-based repositories.
    Cleaning repos:
    Cleaning up Everything
    [root@myserver ~]# yum repolist
    Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, subscription-manager
    Updating certificate-based repositories.
    This system is not registered with RHN.
    RHN Satellite or RHN Classic support will be disabled.
    repolist: 0
    [root@myserver ~]# subscription-manager repos --list
    The system is not entitled to use any repositories.
