Can the filesystems on logical volumes be shrunk with on-line resizing in Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Issue
- We want to reduce the size of fs on LVM volumes online. Is this supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
root@s:/ # resize2fs /dev/mapper/vgapp-test 1G
resize2fs 1.39 (29-May-2006)
Filesystem at /dev/mapper/vgapp-test is mounted on /test; on-line resizing required
On-line shrinking from 524288 to 262144 not supported.
