After poweroff, data disappears from my disk.
Issue
- SNMPv3 user disappears after forced termination of the system: when I create a user with
net-snmp-create-v3-user, then start snmpd and then immediately the power is cut off (i.e. by hardware failure or force poweroff of a VM guest), then the user does not exist once the system is booted. - When an application writes data, and then immediately after that the power is cut off, then after a reboot the data which was written is found to not exist. Instead, an older state of the file or blockdevice is available.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), all versions
