can't start vm in rhev-m

while attempting to start 2 rhel6 vm's, getting "Operation Canceled. Error while executing action: VMNAME:
Cannot run VM. The Custom Compatibility Version of VM VMNAME (3.6) is not supported in Data Center compatibility version 4.0.
